Rab Azel F. Barredo is a dedicated mechanical engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design, project management, academic research, data analysis, and presentation. He is currently an instructor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of San Carlos (Cebu City, Philippines). Rab has previously worked as a research intern at Ming Chi University of Technology (New Taipei, Taiwan), focusing on the effects of single-layer graphene oxide nanosheets on concrete microstructure and mechanical properties. His industry experience includes roles as a design engineer for KJM Studio - Mariljohn Commercial Pty Ltd and BWSC (Burnmeister& Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S), where he contributed to significant projects such as the Snetterton Renewable Energy Plant, Widnes Biomass Combined Heat and Power Plant, Tilbury GreenPower, and Kent Renewable Energy. Notably, he served as the 3D Draft-Piping Project Lead Engineer for the SUND03 Faroe Islands Diesel Plant and Maria-Gleta 120MW in Benin. Rab holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of San Carlos, where he was a DOST-ERDT and Lexmark Research and Development Corp. scholar, respectively.
